Thapa Elected Chair of PPLA

Kathmandu, June 16: Amar Thapa has been elected the chairperson of the Progressive and Professional Lawyers Association Nepal (PPLA).
In the election held last night, a 99-member panel voted. According to him, Bhimsen Banjara has been elected the open vice-chair of the Association, Yashodadevi Kharel as the women vice-chair, Bhuwan Prasad Niraula the general secretary, and Baburam Rai the deputy general secretary.
The three secretaries elected are Yukka Kumar Gautam, Mukund Prasad Adhikari, and Anita Gurung, while Kumar Prasad Ghimire has been elected the treasurer. The third national conference of PPLA had begun here on Saturday. (RSS)
